RESUMO

In recent years, with the rapid development of network applications and the increasing demand for high-quality network service, quality-of-service (QoS) routing has emerged as a critical network technology. The application of machine learning techniques, particularly reinforcement learning and graph neural network, has garnered significant attention in addressing this problem. However, existing reinforcement learning methods lack research on the causal impact of agent actions on the interactive environment, and graph neural network fail to effectively represent link features, which are pivotal for routing optimization. Therefore, this study quantifies the causal influence between the intelligent agent and the interactive environment based on causal inference techniques, aiming to guide the intelligent agent in improving the efficiency of exploring the action space. Simultaneously, graph neural network is employed to embed node and link features, and a reward function is designed that comprehensively considers network performance metrics and causality relevance. A centralized reinforcement learning method is proposed to effectively achieve QoS-aware routing in Software-Defined Networking (SDN). Finally, experiments are conducted in a network simulation environment, and metrics such as packet loss, delay, and throughput all outperform the baseline.

RESUMO

The epiphytic and endophytic bacteria play an important role in the healthy growth of plants. Both plant species and growth environmental influence the bacterial population diversity, yet it is inconclusive whether it is the former or the latter that has a greater impact. To explore the communities of the epiphytic and endophytic microbes in Camellia oleifera, this study assessed three representative C. oleifera cultivars from three areas in Hunan, China by Illumina high-throughput sequencing. The results showed that the diversity and species richness of endophytic microbial community in leaves were significantly higher than those of microbial community in the epiphytic. The diversity and species richness of epiphytic and endophytic microbes are complex when the same cultivar was grown in different areas. The C. oleifera cultivars grown in Youxian had the highest diversity of epiphytic microbial community, but the lowest abundance, while the cultivars grown in Changsha had the highest diversity and species richness of endophytic microbes in leaves. It was concluded that the dominant phylum mainly included Proteobacteria, Actinobacteriota and Firmicutes through the analysis of the epiphytic and endophytic microbial communities of C. oleifera. The species and relative abundances of epiphytic and endophytic microbial community were extremely different at the genus level. The analysis of NMDS map and PERMANOVA shows that the species richness and diversity of microbial communities in epiphytes are greatly influenced by region. However, the community structure of endophytic microorganisms in leaves is influenced by region and cultivated varieties, but the influence of cultivars is more significant. Molecular ecological network analysis showed that the symbiotic interaction of epiphytic microbial community was more complex.

RESUMO

This paper considers the interactive effects between the ego vehicle and other vehicles in a dynamic driving environment and proposes an autonomous vehicle lane-changing behavior decision-making and trajectory planning method based on graph convolutional networks (GCNs) and multi-segment polynomial curve optimization. Firstly, hierarchical modeling is applied to the dynamic driving environment, aggregating the dynamic interaction information of driving scenes in the form of graph-structured data. Graph convolutional neural networks are employed to process interaction information and generate ego vehicle's driving behavior decision commands. Subsequently, collision-free drivable areas are constructed based on the dynamic driving scene information. An optimization-based multi-segment polynomial curve trajectory planning method is employed to solve the optimization model, obtaining collision-free motion trajectories satisfying dynamic constraints and efficiently completing the lane-changing behavior of the vehicle. Finally, simulation and on-road vehicle experiments are conducted for the proposed method. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms traditional decision-making and planning methods, exhibiting good robustness, real-time performance, and strong scenario generalization capabilities.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: miR390s is an ancient family with a high level of conservation among plant miRNAs. Through the auxin signal transduction pathway, miR390 participates in diverse biological processes of plant growth and development. As an important Chinese traditional orchid, Cymbidium goeringii has unique flower shape and elegant fragrance. But its development has been greatly restricted because of the low flower bud differentiation and the difficult reproduction. This study aims to provide guidance for the role of cgo-miR390 in reproductive organ development to enhance the ornamental and economic value of Cymbidium. RESULTS: MIR390a, MIR390b and MIR390c of C. goeringii were cloned, and their length ranged from 130 to 150 nt. Each precursor sequence of cgo-miR390 contains 2 to 3 mature miRNAs. Three kinds of cgo-miR390s displayed distinct temporal and spatial expression patterns during floral development in C. goeringii. The overexpression of MIR390s alters morphology and function of stamens and pistils in Arabidopsis, such as enlargement of anther aspect ratio and separation of stylar and stigmas, which affects the development of fruits and seeds. In particular, the pollen amount decreased and the seed abortion rate increased in cgo-MIR390c-overexpressed plants. CONCLUSIONS: cgo-miR390 family affected the development of reproductive organs in transgenic Arabidopsis. The study provides references for the genetic improvement for orchid with potentially great economic benefit.

RESUMO

Background: Cymbidium is an economically important genus of flowering orchids cultivated in China because of showing graceful leaf shapes and elegant flower coloration. However, the deterioration of the ecological environment and the difficulty of conservation management have become increasing challenges for maintaining its germplasm resources. ARFs are critical transcription factors in the auxin signaling pathway and have been found to play pivotal roles in leaf growth and development in previous studies. However, their functions and mechanisms in Cymbidium goeringii remain to be clarified. Methods: The sequence of the CgARF1 gene was analyzed by bioinformatics. The expression of this gene in different tissues and under IAA treatment was detected by quantitative real-time PCR analysis. The CgARF1 gene was overexpressed in wild-type Arabidopsis and Nicotiana benthamiana via the Agrobacterium infection method. Acetone-ethanol solvent extraction was applied for the determination of chlorophyll contents, and the contents of endogenous hormones were determined using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technique. Results: CgARF1 cloned from C. goeringii 'Songmei' was 2,049 bp in length and encoded 682 amino acids containing three typical domains: a B3 DNA binding domain, an Aux_resp domain and an AUX/IXX family domain. The expression pattern of CgARF1 in different tissues of C. goeringii showed that its expression was highest in the leaves and changed greatly under IAA treatment. Subcellular localization studies showed that the protein was mainly localized in the cell nucleus. CgARF1-overexpressing lines exhibited leaf senescence and a decreased chlorophyll content. Under IAA treatment, CgARF1 regulates the rooting length, rooting number and rooting rate from detached leaves. The levels of endogenous hormones in transgenic leaves were also significantly changed. Conclusion: These results indicated that CgARF1 overexpression is responsive to IAA treatment during leaf development. This study provides a foundation for future research on the function of the ARF gene family in C. goeringii.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Chinese bayberry (Myrica rubra Sieb. & Zucc.) is an important fruit tree in China, and has high medicinal value. At present, the genome, transcriptome and germplasm resources of bayberry have been reported. In order to make more convenient use of these data, the Bayberry Database was established. RESULTS: The Bayberry Database is a comprehensive and intuitive data platform for examining the diverse annotated genome and germplasm resources of this species. This database contains nine central functional domains to interact with multiomic data: home, genome, germplasm, markers, tools, map, expression, reference, and contact. All domains provide pathways to a variety of data types composed of a reference genome sequence, transcriptomic data, gene patterns, phenotypic data, fruit images of Myrica rubra varieties, gSSR data, gene maps with annotation and evolutionary analyses. The tools module includes BLAST search, keyword search, sequence fetch and enrichment analysis functions. CONCLUSIONS: The web address of the database is as follows http://www.bayberrybase.cn/ . The Myrica rubra database is an intelligent, interactive, and user-friendly system that enables researchers, breeders and horticultural personnel to browse, search and retrieve relevant and useful information and thus facilitate genomic research and breeding efforts concerning Myrica rubra. This database will be of great help to bayberry research and breeding in the future.

RESUMO

A general visible-light-promoted metal-free synthesis of secondary and tertiary thiocarbamates starting from thiosulfonates and N-substituted formamides is developed. By employing rhodamine B as a photocatalyst and tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as an oxidant, a wide scope of thiocarbamates can be obtained through direct thiolation of acyl C-H bonds under irradiation of blue light at room temperature for 12 h.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the effect of compression factor on visual performance in orthokeratology (ortho-k). METHODS: Myopic adults were fitted with ortho-k lenses with either a 0.75 diopter (D) or 1.75 D compression factor. Higher-order aberrations (HOAs), corneal topography, and responses to the National Eye Institute/Refractive Error Quality of Life Instrument-42 questionnaire were measured at baseline and 6-month and 12-month follow-up along with a satisfaction questionnaire. Subjective refraction, high-contrast, and low-contrast visual acuity were measured at baseline and 1-day, 1-week, 6-month, and 12-month follow-up. RESULTS: Forty-four myopic (mean spherical equivalent refraction: -3.66±0.84 D) adults (median age 25 years) completed the 12-month follow-up. After ortho-k lens wear, levels of satisfaction of vision after waking were significantly higher than vision before sleep for both compression factors (both P<0.01). The increased compression factor (ICF) resulted in less myopia at the 1-week visit (P=0.04) and better high-contrast unaided visual acuity at the 1-day visit (P=0.03) compared with the conventional compression factor (CCF). No other significant differences were observed for the compression factor for treatment zone diameter, lens decentration, or any subjective measurements. Individual HOA terms , , , and were significantly higher in the CCF group (0.75 D) (all P<0.05). The HOA visual Strehl ratio decreased significantly after lens wear (P<0.001) but did not vary with the compression factor. CONCLUSIONS: An ICF did not result in clinically significant differences in subjective refraction, visual acuity, unaided vision, or the total ocular HOA profile compared with a CCF (0.75 D) in myopic adults after long-term ortho-k lens wear.

RESUMO

This paper presents a multi-band terahertz superabsorber with a surface structure that consists of a square metallic patch with a very small rectangular hole whose area is only 3.94% of the square patch. The introduction of a rectangular hole in the square patch plays an important role in achieving multi-band absorption. Three resonant bands with very high absorption (>95%) were observed in the terahertz range. Different from the near-field distributions of the traditional square patch with no modification, the introduction of a rectangular hole in the square patch can break the near-field distributions of the traditional square patch with no modification or can rearrange them to form some new or extra resonance modes, thereby generating multi-band absorption. Considering the fact that the introduced rectangular hole plays the key role in the rearrangement of the near-field and the introduction of some new resonance modes, the parameter changes of the rectangular hole introduced in the square patch provide considerable freedom in controlling the number of absorption peaks, and the resonant bands can be tuned to quad- or dual-band absorption. The multi-band superabsorbers given here should have potential applications in numerous areas.

RESUMO

Endophytic bacteria, which are common in plant tissues, may help to control plant pathogens and enhance plant growth. Camellia oleifera, an oil-producing plant, is widely grown in warm, subtropical, hilly regions in China. However, C. oleifera is strongly negatively affected by C. oleifera anthracnose, which is caused by Colletetrichum fructicola. To find a suitable biocontrol agent for C. oleifera anthracnose, 41 endophytes were isolated from the stems, leaves, and roots of C. oleifera. Bacterial cultures were identified based on analyses of 16S rDNA sequences; most strains belonged to the genus Bacillus. The antagonistic effects of these strains on C. fructicola were tested in vitro. In total, 16 strains inhibited C. fructicola growth, with B. subtilis strain 1-L-29 being the most efficient. Strain 1-L-29 demonstrated antagonistic activity against C. siamense, C. asianum, Fusarium proliferatum, Agaricodochium camellia, and Pseudomonas syringae. In addition, this strain produced indole acetic acid, solubilized phosphate, grew on N-free media, and produced siderophores. To facilitate further microecological studies of this strain, a rifampicin-resistant, green fluorescent protein (GFP)-labeled strain, 1-L-29gfpr, was created using protoplast transformation. This plasmid had good segregational stability. Strain 1-L-29gfpr was re-introduced into C. oleifera and successfully colonized root, stem, and leaf tissues. This strain remained at a stable concentration in the root more than 20 d after inoculation. Fluorescence microscopic analysis showed that strain 1-L-29gfpr thoroughly colonized the root surfaces of C. fructicola as well as the root vascular tissues of Arabidopsis thaliana.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To study the changes of tear film after short-term overnight orthokeratology wearing in adult myope. METHODS: Fifty adult myope aged 18 to 38 years old were enrolled in this study. The patients wore orthokeratology 6-10 h every night during this study. Data such as non-invasive tear break-up time (NITBUT), fluorescent tear break-up time (FTBUT), lower tear meniscus height (LTMH), corneal fluorescent staining as well as ocular surface disease index (OSDI) questionnaire score were measured at baseline, 1 d, 7 d, 14 d, 30 d and 90 d. RESULTS: Forty-four subjects completed the follow-up study. Tear break-up time (TBUT) decreased and became stable at 14 d after overnight orthokeratology wearing. LTMH sustained decreased and there was a difference after 90 d overnight wearing ( P<0.05). Compared with baseline, the grade of corneal staining increased at all time points ( P<0.05). As for the OSDI score, there was no difference at all time points. CONCLUSION: After overnight orthokeratology wearing, tear film stability and tear secretion decreased. Adult myope seems easily to suffer corneal injury after overnight orthokeratology wearing.

RESUMO

A dual-band terahertz metamaterial absorber composed of two identical square metallic patches and an insulating medium layer on top of a continuous metallic ground is demonstrated. Two resonance peaks (labeled A and B) with near 100% absorbance are obtained, of which peak A derived from the localized resonance of the two square patches has a line-width of 0.2571 THz and quality factor of 6.9156, while peak B which resulted from the hybrid coupling of the localized resonance of the two square patches and surface lattice resonance of the device has a very narrow line-width of 0.0083 THz and large quality factor of 296.2771. Narrow line-width and large quality factor have important prospects in sensing application. Based on this, the sensing performance of the device is explored; it is revealed that peak B exhibits highly sensitive sensing ability (including a sensing sensitivity of 1.9010 THz per RIU and figure of merit of 229.04) in terms of the surrounding index. In addition, the influence of structural parameters on the absorption performance is discussed to further verify the formation mechanism of these two absorption peaks.

RESUMO

A terahertz metamaterial resonator consisting of two rectangular strips embedded in a closed-ring resonator is designed and investigated in this paper that can simultaneously generate the classical electromagnetically induced transparency effect and two Fano resonance modes. The formation of the transparent window and the Fano dips can be attributed to the coupling of the localized resonance modes between the closed-ring resonator and the two embedded rectangular strips. The effect of embedded rectangular strip sizes on the transmitted performance is discussed, and it is found that the resonant performance of the transparent window and Fano effect depends mainly on the length of the rectangular strips in the longitudinal direction. Based on this, two different device applications related to the embedded rectangular strips are discussed. The metamaterial proposed here could open up new avenues toward the control of terahertz waves in many technology-related areas.

RESUMO

This paper gives the design of electromagnetically induced transparency effect using two U-shaped resonators with different opening directions (same direction and opposite direction). It is revealed that extremely similar transparency effect can be found for the two cases. The reason is that the two structures have the same sizes. However, the change in position of the two U-shaped resonators in the opposite opening has a significant effect on the transparent peak which is mainly reflected in the broadening of the broadband and the frequency shift of the working frequency, while there is almost no change in resonance performance for the same opening. We provide the field distributions for analyzing the causes of these different results. We believe these performance can guide future research.

RESUMO

Various kinds of structure designs have been proposed to achieve the multiple-band metamaterial absorbers. However, the discrete distance of adjacent frequencies of multiple absorbers is considerably large, which will inevitably overlook a large amount of information hidden in the off-resonance absorption areas. Herein, a narrow discrete distance of dual-band terahertz absorber based on two pairs of an Au strip/dielectric layer backed by Au film is designed. Two nearly 100% absorptivities of resonance peaks having the discrete distance of only 0.30 THz are realized. The relative discrete distance of the device is 13.33%, and this value can be adjusted via the length change of an Au strip. Furthermore, we present two narrow discrete distances of a triple-band absorber through stacking one more pair of an Au strip and dielectric layer. Results prove that two discrete distances of only 0.14 THz and 0.17 THz in adjacent absorption modes of the first two and the last two are achieved, respectively; the relative discrete distances of them are respectively 6.57% and 7.22%, which are far from previous reports. Narrow discrete distances (or low values of relative discrete distance) of the multiple-band absorbers have a large number of applications in the investigation of some hidden information in very near frequencies.

RESUMO

Broadband metamaterial absorbers are of critical importance in practical applications, but their obtainment approaches are quite complex at present. We demonstrate here that a fairly simple structure design formed by a rectangular-shaped resonator having an elongated slot can be utilized to achieve a broadband absorption response at terahertz frequencies. More than 50% absorption in a continuous frequency range of 1.62 THz (with a central frequency of 2.05 THz) can be gained, and its relative absorption bandwidth is 79.02%, which is superior to that of previous broadband absorption devices. The basic principle of the broadband absorption originates from the superposition of four different but narrowly separated resonance peaks that resulted from different response positions of the suggested resonator. Results further reveal that the broadband terahertz absorption performance (or its four resonance peaks) can be controlled by the resonator dimensions. The suggested method can provide a new type of design strategy to realize broadband integrated terahertz absorption devices.

RESUMO

Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are powerful tools for image segmentation and classification. Here, we use this method to identify and mark the heart region of Drosophila at different developmental stages in the cross-sectional images acquired by a custom optical coherence microscopy (OCM) system. With our well-trained CNN model, the heart regions through multiple heartbeat cycles can be marked with an intersection over union of ~86%. Various morphological and dynamical cardiac parameters can be quantified accurately with automatically segmented heart regions. This study demonstrates an efficient heart segmentation method to analyze OCM images of the beating heart in Drosophila.

RESUMO

In order to study the function of soil microfauna and its responses to environmental changes, we used metagenome analyses of the 18S rDNA gene region to identify differences in microfauna diversity and community structure among fifteen soil samples belonging to five different Cunninghamia lanceolate plantations. The plantations were located in Youxian County, Hunan Province in central China. The trees in these plantations were of different ages (3, 13, and 26 years) and belonged to different ecological successions (first, second, and third successions). The total dataset comprised 94922 high quality sequences with an average length of 436 bp. The dominant taxonomic groups across all samples were Chordata, Annelida, Arthropoda, Nematoda, Rotifera and Platyhelminthes with each accounting for 60.8%, 24.0%, 7.4%, 3.6%, 1.5% and 1.2% of the sequences, respectively. There were significant differences in ACE index and Shannon index among the five plantations. The lowest diversity of soil microfauna was in the 13-year old plantation of the first ecological succession. The correlation analysis showed that both ACE and available potassium concentration were negatively correlated to the Chaol index. However, there were no significant correlations between the Shannon, Simpson indices and the physical-chemical properties of soil. Overall, the Jaccard's similarity coefficient was less than 0.4 among samples at each site, and significant differences were found among plantations.

RESUMO

Plackett-Burman design and Box-Behnken response surface methodology (RSM) was employed to optimize the medium components for the chitin deacetylase (CDA) activity from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Z7. Plackett-Burman design was applied to determine the specific medium components affecting CDA activity and found that starch, chitin and MgSO4 were critical in augmenting CDA activity. These significant parameters were further optimized using Box-Behnken RSM and the optimum concentrations of starch, chitin and MgSO4 were found to be 24.4, 8.8 and 0.19 g/L, respectively. The optimum medium composition was chitin 8.8 g/L, starch 24.4 g/L, yeast extract 10g/L, MgSO4 0.19 g/L, K2HPO4 0.3 g/L and NaCl 5 g/L. Under these optimal conditions, the CDA activity of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Z7 increased distinctly from 18.75 to 27.48 U/mL (46.6% increase in total yield).
